Privacy policy

A short, plain-English explanation of what data we collect and what we do with it.

Summary

MyHealthyFeet is a static educational website. We don't run accounts, we don't track you across the web, and we don't sell your data. The only information we collect is anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics — and you can opt out by using a tracker blocker.

What we collect

  • · Anonymized analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics — page views, country/region, browser type, referring site. Cloudflare's beacon receives your IP address to compute these metrics but does not store it long-term, does not set analytics cookies, and does not build a cross-site profile.
  • · Standard server logs from Cloudflare's edge network — connection metadata used for security, abuse prevention, and content delivery. IPs may appear in short-lived security logs and are not retained for analytics.

We do not collect names, email addresses, health information, or any data you didn't explicitly send us. MyHealthyFeet is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and is not a HIPAA-covered entity. Do not submit personal health information to us via email or any contact form.

Cookies

MyHealthyFeet does not set any first-party tracking or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly-necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to detect malicious traffic; these are not used for analytics or advertising and are exempt from consent under EU ePrivacy guidance for strictly necessary cookies.

Third-party services

  • · Google Fonts — used to load typefaces. Google may log the IP address making the request. We are evaluating self-hosting fonts to remove this dependency.
  • · Cloudflare — our hosting provider. Cloudflare processes connection metadata (IP, request type) for security and content delivery.

Affiliate disclosure

If a page contains an affiliate link (for example, to a recommended insole or shoe), it will be clearly disclosed at the top of that page. We may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links never affect our editorial recommendations.

Your rights

If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have rights regarding your personal data under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. Because we don't store personal data tied to you, most of these rights have nothing to act on — but if you'd like to know what (if anything) we have, email us at privacy@myhealthyfeet.org. California residents: We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and we have not done so in the prior twelve months. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16.

Legal basis (EU/UK/EEA visitors)

When the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, our lawful basis for the limited processing described above (analytics aggregates and security logs) is our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving a free educational website (Article 6(1)(f)). You may object to this processing at any time by emailing privacy@myhealthyfeet.org or by blocking analytics in your browser. We do not transfer personal data outside Cloudflare's standard global infrastructure.

Children

MyHealthyFeet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
