About

Built by a podiatrist.
Written for patients.

MyHealthyFeet is a free foot health atlas created by a solo podiatrist practicing in Arizona. It translates clinical knowledge into plain-language guides — without dumbing down the substance.

Portrait of the MyHealthyFeet podiatrist author

Who's behind it

A solo Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) practicing in Arizona for 6+ years. Board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM); graduate of Midwestern University Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine.

The guides are written from clinical training and the same evidence base used in everyday practice — peer-reviewed literature accessed through PubMed and public-domain US government health resources — then translated into language anyone can understand.

The author writes anonymously; this is a personal educational project, separate from any clinical employer or affiliation.

The author is licensed in Arizona only. Content on this site is general patient education, not the practice of medicine in any jurisdiction, and does not establish a clinical relationship with the reader.

Why this exists

Patients deserve good information before — and between — appointments. Too much health content online is either too vague to be useful or copied from other sites. This is an attempt to do it properly: accurate, sourced, and honest about uncertainty.

Credentials & affiliations

The author maintains current board certification and active membership in the relevant professional bodies. Anyone can verify board certification through ABPM's public diplomate directory.

What we cover

A broad library of foot and ankle conditions — from bunions and plantar fasciitis to stress fractures, diabetic complications, nerve syndromes, and skin lesions.

What we don't do

Diagnose you, treat you, or replace an in-person exam. A real clinical evaluation beats any website — always consult a qualified clinician for decisions about your specific situation.

Always free

No paywalls, no sign-ups. The site may eventually be supported by tasteful advertising or affiliate links — clearly disclosed when present. Editorial content is never influenced by advertisers.

Our editorial approach

Each guide is written by a podiatrist using the same references consulted in clinical practice, then reviewed for plain-language clarity. The workflow:

  • Original wording. Every page is written from scratch by a board-certified podiatrist drawing on clinical training, peer-reviewed literature accessed through PubMed, and public-domain US government health resources (NIH MedlinePlus, CDC, NIAMS, NIDDK, FDA). We do not reproduce text from other websites.
  • Plain-language translation. Clinical terminology gets explained, not deleted. We keep the medical terms but translate what they actually mean.
  • Cautious framing. "May," "commonly," "a clinician might recommend" — never imperative diagnosis or prescription. Medical decisions require a qualified clinician who has examined you.
  • Clear page status. Pages that haven't been fully reviewed are marked as drafts so readers know when content is still being developed.

Important: this is education, not a clinical relationship

Reading MyHealthyFeet does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and the author. The content here is general educational information — it is not tailored to your specific symptoms, history, or circumstances. Two patients with the same diagnosis may need very different treatment. Always work with a clinician who has examined you.
