Quick verdict
I tested the Forward Motion Comfort Pro insert (High Arch profile) as a free sample, wearing it for everyday walking and running. It is a well-padded, genuinely supportive insert with a deep heel cup, and it dropped right into my shoes without trimming. It is thicker than the StepCraft OTC I reviewed earlier, so the shoe’s own liner has to come out to make room. Worth the swap.
Comfortable, and it earns the space it takes up
Disclosure first: I did not buy these. I was given these as a free sample at the same podiatry conference where I got the StepCraft insert, and I have no other relationship with the brand. I wore them the way a patient would.
What stands out is the cushioning on top. Compared to the thinner StepCraft, this insert has a well-padded top layer that makes the underfoot feel plush and comfortable from the first step. Because of that extra thickness, you have to remove the default shoe liner that comes with your shoes to make room. My shoes accepted the insert without any trimming.
The support is good overall, and I could specifically feel my arches being held. The heel cup is genuinely deep and cradles the rearfoot, which is a real pro for stability. It feels great to walk in and to run in.
One honest observation: it took me about two weeks to fully get used to it. That is longer than the StepCraft, which felt right immediately, and it is the tradeoff for a plusher insert that changes the shoe’s fit more. Once I was used to it, the extra padding was the point.
Bottom line
For the reader who wants a supportive insert with real cushion under the foot rather than a thin shell, the Forward Motion Comfort Pro (High Arch) is an easy recommend. Take out your shoe’s factory liner, drop this one in, and give yourself a couple of weeks to settle in.
